Way to go Kel

ahhhhhhhh wow,
first off I cant believe kelly is about to start his mission. I'm so ridiculously proud of him and I know he's gonna be a great missionary.
ah wow this is so crazy. way to go kel

well it was a pretty good week. we had conference with president. It was awesome. Learned a bunch. the downside was that it was 12 and a half hours long! but it was good and worth every minute.

I gotta be honest, I am kinda nervous for transfers next week because prez slipped the hint that I'm probably gonna be training next transfer. I really dont feel ready but well see what happens.

Well Saturday we have 4 baptisms planned! It's gonna be awesome. They are gonna be great members. They are all young single adults and already have great testimonies. We are also gonna have musical numbers  and the whole shabang. I love the gospel and I love how it changes peoples lives for better.

Last Monday was probably the coolest pday yet in the mission. We went to the area of the sisters in our area and climbed some sweet hills, trees, and almost kissed a pig haha. just gonna leave it at that for now, but ended up with some good pics so I'll try to take a lot more pics and send a cd.

my letter to president
Hola Presidente!
Elder Paolacci

Hello President!  First I would like to thank you for the training we had. It gave me so much encouragement to work and I learned many things that are helping me a lot. We had a baptism on Saturday but the mother of the girl who was to be baptized removed her permission, telling us why, but we know she will be baptized and will be a good convert. This Saturday we have 4 baptisms. Will be the first baptism with the special musical number. I am very excited and those that are going to be baptized are very excited as well. It is going to be really nice. Thanks for all your help and I hope President I will always be learning and improving.
Elder Paolacci

Pictures from Huanuco, Peru

wow this week went by fast haha
well hello family, all is good here in huanuco! glad my cds got there safely. haha hope you liked them.
um so wow ya kelly only has like a week left! haha gonna be the fastest week of his life. but hes gonna do great, im way excited for him. make sure you send me his mtc address so i can write him during the longest 3 weeks of his life haha.
so ya everything is going ok as far as investigators goes. we have 2 that are gonna get baptized this month. they are both way excited. It's pretty cool to see when someone has had the truthfulness of the gospel confirmed to them. So some sad news - leslie and ever aren't gonna get married. apparently they got separated this last week. not too sure what happened. but we are gonna keep working with them. It is crazy how the adversary works on people. But we will continue to pray for them and help them.

well heres my letter to president
Hola Presidente!
Elder Paolacci

Hello President! It's been a really good week. We found and taught more people that have a desire to be baptized this month. They are also well prepared. That's amazing to see the fruits of our labor. In truth every day I have more courage to continue this work. I am very excited for the conference this week and I'm ready to learn a lot. These first few weeks I have had here have helped a lot. I'm learning a lot, and I need to learn more. But anything that the Lord sent me to do is possible and that will help me to progress as one of his servants.

so friday was officially 7 months! not that im counting or anything. pretty crazy. its going way too fast. I need it to slow down !!!
so i heard a little about the tsunami in japan, but not a whole lot.
just that it was really really bad. so ya if you wanna let me know what happened i would appreciate it. huanuco seems like it has no link to the outside world.
well todays pday plans are unknown. So I guess we will see what our district leader has planned.

Last week was cool. we went to kotosh. they are some of the oldest ruins in the world so it was pretty interesting. OH so saturday the young single adults had a cultural dance festival. it was amazingly cool! it was like legit native dances. haha the young single adults here are way cool. and our ward got 2nd place! not too shabby so ya this week we have conference with president and im pretty sure ill get to see elder capps. (way cool) um so ya i think this is the last email of mine kelly will get to read no?

Note to Kelly "so ya good luck cuz! enjoy the mtc while it lasts (easiest part of your mission). dont eat too much food there. make friends. and get ready to work hard. its only 2 years haha so just work your butt off."

Well mom im excited to see what you sent! send me letters too!  Grams thanks for the dear elders they are appreciated. Tell the family to write !!!
well gotta go love you guys! Be happy !!! Choose the right !!!

Senior Companion

Today we are going with some members to some cool place called kotosh. I really have no idea what it is but it sounds fun.

First to answer your questions mom -

Did you get the packages with the candy and ties I sent last month - yes - thanks so much - I am good on ties to give away for a while now - I will give you a heads up when I am running low.

Are you teaching English in Huanuco like you did in Manchay ? No - as of right now we don't have enough time to teach English classes

Are you beginning to understand Elder Barboza's Spanish any better ? haha ya I'm getter better at understanding elder barboza. He's still goofy tho. But we are good.

Are you teaching any new investigators ? um we are teaching quite a few people. It is awesome. The one couple that is gonna get married on the 19th is Leslie and Ever. They are awesome and way excited for the 19th. Marriage and baptism on the same day. Life doesn’t get much better.

How do you travel around your area ? Traveling around our area is all walking. well the whole mission is walking. we get money to pay for mototaxis and buses but we don't get a whole lot. but this area is pretty small. It's like the size of Cactus to Shea and 36th to 40th st. Pretty small. but there is ALOT of work to do haha.

Do you get to go to any ward activities ? We cant really go to ward activities, the only one is mission night, and that's only because people bring investigators to it. but ya there is not a whole lot of time for activities anyways and we do family home evenings with our investigators. So that is way cool.

so ya i think that answers all the questions right? haha.

well this week was good. we had 2 baptisms Saturday. it was awesome. Thursday and Friday we had splits with the zone leaders for 2 days because I'm recently senior companion and they had to see if i was qualified to be one I guess. haha it was cool, learned alot.

um the weather here continues to be freakishly weird. Changes day to day. In fact sometimes hour by hour.

heres my letter to president
Hola Presidente! Estamos trabajando bien duro aquí in Pedro Puelles.

so ya Spanish is doing great. its rare when i find myself not knowing how to say something or communicate with someone. its weird thinking sometimes that i can speak 2 languages. loco! It is so awesome. Such a blessing in my life not only for my mission but my future.

Tell coleton he is a dork with his glasses - (jk he looks cool), basketball news is crazy! Thanks lil brothers.

well gotta go! love you all! Keep being awesome. Study the scriptures. Take lot's of pictures to send to me - the people here are almost hungry to see pictures of my life at home - they love it so the more pictures the better. write letters please!
Love
